This verse of scripture has always been a very special verse to me. Whenever I am having what I consider to be a hard day, I remember this verse. It is a promise. Regardless of whether I think the day is good or bad, it is good because God made it. God cannot be less than who He is. So, there is something I can always find good about each day. March 25, 2023, marked a month since the book signing at Blue Bird Coffee Company. Thank you to those who attended. You made this day so very special for me. I can’t believe that it has now been two months. There is also another reason March 25 is a special day. On March 25, 2019, they diagnosed me with Multiple Myeloma. MM is a rare blood cancer that is terminal. There is no cure for it. Doctors can treat the disease, but they cannot cure it. The diagnosing physician could not tell me I would have six months. Now here we are four years later. I recently had lab work done in which there were 0% residual myeloma cells found. The doctors have even lowered the dosage of my chemo maintenance drug. I do not share this news with you out of boasting. I wish I could tell you I understand the way God works, but I can’t. I can tell you God is always good, and He loves us beyond what we can imagine. Even in our pain, God is with us. In our disappointments, God is with us. When we will surrender totally to God, to become totally dependent upon Him-this is when we see His movement in our lives and the lives of the people that we love. He doesn’t prevent life from happening to us; He stands with us through the good and the bad. He allows us to experience pain and suffering so we can experience Him in all His glory and goodness.
I am currently editing a new book which I hope to publish by the end of this year. I have to be honest; I love to write but publishing books is more than just writing. The title is Messages of the Blessed Hope. Now the title is subject to change as I move through the publishing process. I will try to keep you updated as to the progress.
Other news, I am working on a website where I will publish articles and news about new books. I have another book signing for Messages of Hope: Life After the Death of a Child, on April 28, 2023, at the Andalusia Public Library from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Please share the date with someone who might be interested in attending.
